Centennial Volunteers: Kickapoo Woods and Prairie

Saturday, December 6, 2014 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

Join us for some exploration and visioning at Kickapoo Woods. The 50-acre Kickapoo prairie is recovering after suffering years of neglect and overgrowth by native species. Come see areas that have been restored and those still needing help. We'll harvest and sow wood-reed seeds with our hands along the banks of the Little Calumet River. It's a native grass that will improve the habitat and push out invasives.

Free hot beverages and donuts. Free and open to all.
